National Diabetes Month Day 2

Small Acts of Kindness

Today, Rocco and Zeke came home with an adorable baggies full of fun things! The label on the bag said Happy Gotcha Day! 2012.

It had two pencils, stickers and a sucker.

It was from two of their super cute classmates who were adopted from Russia when they were babies. Every year, they celebrate their adoption day as Happy Gotcha Day! Great idea, huh? They pass out the baggies and read a book to the class explaining adoption. It's adorable and great for all the kids!

Well, I noticed Rocco's bag was a little different than Zeke's. It had something stapled to the back. As I flipped over the bag, I started to cry because I saw this!

This mom, who is so kind, doesn't know I write a blog. We're friendly but haven't really becomes hang-out kind of friends, yet.  Therefore, I am not sure how she knew this information would be helpful to Rocco. It was a small gesture, probably for her, but such a big gift to me! It was as if she said, "Here, let me help."

Thanks again Laura! You made my day!

Think it's time to become hang-out kind of friends with Laura. Don't know her, but stapling nutrition info to a goodie bag makes her a good egg in my book. Yay Laura!!
