Fall time treats with carbs counted!

The older I get, the more I realize I like Fall. Of course, it is sad that the carefree days of  Summer are over. But, I enjoy the majesty of the trees changing colors. I enjoy back to school (who wouldn't?) and I enjoy all Fall flavors. Cinnamon, ginger and pumpkin are my favorites!

Imagine my delight when I spied these in my grocer's freezer! Hello nuggets of joy!

Yes, I know. These are processed and frozen. But, I'd like to mention three things.  Number one: yes, if you make homemade, organic waffles for your children, you win. I concede. You are better than me. Number Two: the carbs on these are counted and I can trust them when I send Rocco off on his day. I know that he won't run low from me guessing the carb amount of homemade mix. I have tried making the waffles in the Martha Stewart magazine. Her pretty flax seed, organic, milk straight from the cow waffles never have carb counts in them. Kellogg's do because by law they have to! God bless the law. Number three: I suck at making waffles. I have tried three different waffle makers (including the one that makes cute heart waffles) and I now know, it is just me. So, I use Kellogg's frozen whole grain waffles.

They are healthy enough for us.

It's funny that healthy really is a relative term. Hmmmm.... They are whole grain. Check. I know the carb amounts. Check. They don't have too many carbs. Check. Yep! These are healthy! Lol!

Here is the nutrition label for all the moms out there that need and want to know.

Instead of syrup, I use this magical stuff. Yummy!!

It has sugar but the amount I use comes to 1-2 carbs.

I also found these!

Tried them for Rocco. Good blood sugar result again. They are Zeke approved too!

I just use this "butter" on these too.

Again, healty is relative. No carbs and does not spike him during spelling test. Yep! Healthy again!

I noticed that they also have these but I have yet to hunt them down.

Finally, I love Fall because of the tiny packaged snacks that come out for Halloween!

I found each of these at Target.

Only 8 carbs per pouch of popcorn.

Only 7 carbs per pouch of goldfish.

The bags are small but perfect for snacktime at school.

Well, um, yeah.... These were going to be an after school treat. However, the boys have yet to see them. Michael and I only have two pouches left. Kind of became an after the day treat for the big kids in the house!! Sorry kids. Maybe next year!

Hope you enjoy this Fall too!
